It inspects meters used for delivery of fuel oil, liquid propane gas, gasoline pumps, and containers used for measuring any type of liquid or solid commodity. Senate Bill157 (2011), relative to the division of weights and measures and fees for licensing weighing devices and the definition of service technician, passed and became effective July 1, 2011. This law amends RSA 438 and will allow a registered service technician to affix a certification seal to a device after determining it is in compliance. The division has adopted interim administrative rules to implement these changes to RSA 438. These rules are now operative, and are posted for your convenience. Interim rules are temporary, and must be followed promptly by the regular rule-making process.
